LCD Host non responsive on Win10

Hey Guys,

I have been a long time user of LCD Host on my machine for monitoring programs for gaming purposes. I have a few custom setups which I use and I love the program.

Unfortunately last night I had to perform a WIN10 reset to factory settings due to an error caused by some adware nonsense.

I reinstalled the 64 bit version of LCD Host Alpha 37 and attempted to load my layout as normal, but the program now is just non responsive. Locking up, freezes and finally ending in lcdhost.exe is not responding. All I can do is close the program.

I have reviewed my event viewer logs and I can see a couple of dll errors related to LCD Host.

1 shows as faulting module path being : C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
the other shows : E:\Program Files\LCDHost\bin\Qt5Core.dll

I have tried reinstalling the 32-bit software and still no luck.

Have any of you guys come across the same issue and know of a resolution?

Tried a few various fixes i could find on this forum relating to the Qt5core.dll issues.
I have had no luck with any of the fixes, ttried a new Qt5Core.dll file, tried different install directories (including the default one).

Basically the program loads up ok first time with none of the plugins loaded. So I verify and load each one individually and all works ok, then when i switch through different layouts there is massive non responding times until the program finally gives up.

I experience the same while cycling through layouts. Not sure when it started, though?

Do you run the Win10 Anniversary Update?

I just did a clean install last night of Window 10 (64bit), And I can't get lcd host to work at all. It does not show as an applet in the logitech software. When I look at outputs in Lcdhost there are no options. I'm stumped, I've tried 32 and 64 bit versions.

There's a thread here about LCDHost and Windows 10, in which people have suggested various solutions.

I was lucky in that I updated from Win 8.1 to Win 10 rather than doing a clean install (which seems to be a problem for LCDHost), so I didn't experience any problems myself.


On the problems with extremely long load times for layouts, there's this - though I'm not sure if it's the same thing.
